We had a successful year with the e-shop magistra.cz

We entrusted the development of a new e-shop into our hands. This is a project from the imagined highest league of Czech e-shops. Setting up the right workflow and synchronizing with information systems, data sources, and warehouses has therefore been a challenge for us from the very beginning, both from a technological and project perspective. An important aspect that we emphasize when developing websites and e-shops is the speed of the e-shop. Whether when visiting from a mobile phone or from a classic desktop. From our experience, we know that speed leads to an increase in conversion of up to 20%. We are pleased that our e-shop solution, which we developed for Magistra, is one of the fastest on the Czech e-commerce market in the pharmacy segment.

Ongoing management and development after launch increased the conversion rate by more than 20%

We continuously engage in the development and improvement of the e-shop toward the customer. An example could be, for instance, optimizing the full-text search in the e-shop using Fuzzy search, i.e., the search function for approximate matches, which we developed during the year. With the optimization of the full text, we solved the problem of searching with less than 3 characters. This concerns specific cases, especially in the pharmaceutical range, where the names of vitamins often contain less than three characters (vitamin B2). Now, the search works from a single character, and suggestions work from two.

Results from the A/B test showed that the number of transactions from autocomplete increased by 55.23% and the conversion rate of the target by 13.04%. Autocomplete was displayed 38.64% more times to searching users than before optimization. The overall conversion of the e-shop increased by 21.13%. We created a robust e-shop with extensive functionality

Thanks to the new e-shop, customers can order products from the comfort of their home either with home delivery (usually the next working day) or pick up ordered medicines, dietary supplements, and cosmetics for free at some pharmacies. The pharmacy informs customers about the pickup of the order via SMS or email. Customers can also consult with experienced pharmacists both at the e-shop and in brick-and-mortar pharmacies and discuss everything they need. Find your pharmacy on the pharmacy map.

Greater simplicity in purchasing medications at magistra.cz is also brought by the ability to reserve prescription medications via the so-called erecept. Reservations can be made via mobile applications or web interfaces. The advantage of such a reservation is that you will be notified by SMS or email for pickup, and anyone in the family or close ones with a valid reservation code can pick up the medicine. Especially older or disabled patients, who can thus stay safe at home, will surely appreciate this option.

Magistra also operates a loyalty program and More Benefits card. Thanks to it, customers have the option of receiving personal discount coupons, attractive 1+1 free offers, or gifts for birthdays and holidays. The importance of online sales channels is increasing. Therefore, Magistra will continue to improve logistics, order processing, expand the assortment, and also provide delivery options on the same day as the order.
